Join us for a science history lesson about our Founding Fathers and their obsession with prehistoric megafauna, from mammoths to giant ground sloths. Founding Monsters is a comic book that combines sequential art with historical and scientific data created by Dr. Bernard Means and Maggie Colangelo.
Come on this fossil journey with some Ice Age fossils and 3D scanned and printed replicas.

Fossils, Rocks, and History of Spring Mountain Ranch State Park with Ranger
Tune into a scenic Virtual Field Trip to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park with the Nevada Science Center team and Ranger Joshua. This State Park sits in a very geologically and paleontologically interesting location in southern Nevada, adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The NSC team will talk about why this area is so interesting in terms of rocks and fossils. Ranger Josh will explain the history of the Park and its significance to the history of southern Nevada.
